Frosty Saw Mommy Rocking the Night Away

I’m trying to use the set-it-up-to-post-then-forget-about-it feature. If I’m lucky, this will post sometime between Christmas Eve...and never.

Gee…I hope it doesn’t get lost…I don’t know how many creative posts I’ve got left in this muddled head of mine. I can’t afford to waste a single one.

And now…for the entertainment portion of our show:

(Takes deep breath)

DECK the halls…while the weather outside is frightful-
He sees you when you’re sleeping and all I want for Christmas is my two front teeth-
I’ll have a blue Christmas without you but Frosty the Snowman knew the sun was hot that day!
Grandma got run over by a reindeer and from now on our troubles will be out of sight….
I don’t know if there’ll be snow but jump in bed, cover up your head ‘cause Santa Claus comes tonight-
I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus so please have snow & mistletoe and presents on the tree (or I’m blackmailing you for all you’re worth) -
What a bright time, it’s the right time to rock the night away…’cause it’s the most wonderful time of the yearrrrrrrrrrr!!!”

Whistle….whistle….applause….applause. Encore!! Encore!!!

Okay, people…settle down.

If all goes as planned, I should be well into my second bottle of Cloudy…accepting an abundance of loving raves from family for the incredibly delicious, bordering on heavenly lasagna that I’ve slaved and agonized over for the past two days.

Okay…I’m lying. I actually know how to make lasagna. No, seriously. You may stop snickering any time now. I can hear you, ya know.

I fully expect to have no leftovers and will probably collapse into bed at a relatively decent hour (which is anytime before 2am). Christmas Day will be spent in the abundant, overbearing, thunderous bosom of my family (again) and by Thursday night, we’ll all be back in our nuclear homes once again…our pants a little tighter and our wallets measurably lighter.

Here’s wishing everyone a holiday filled with the joy that comes from being with those you love, satisfaction in knowing we’ve survived yet another chaotic season without stroking out or driving off a cliff…and bliss…just because I like the word…and who couldn’t use more bliss?

Happy Day, everyone!

Great song silly girl. If I hadn't had your lasagne I would never have believed that you know how to make it, & that it's wonderful!
